Unlocking Deeper Biological Insights with Illumina Connected Multiomics

In today’s era of precision medicine and advanced biological research, multiomics – the integration of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and more has emerged as a game-changer, accelerating breakthrough discoveries. Researchers can now gain deeper biological insights by examining multiple molecular layers simultaneously. Handling and interpreting this vast amount of multiomic and multimodal data is computationally intensive and can be overwhelming, requiring researchers to thread together multiple tools, requiring bioinformatics expertise, and investment in building the infrastructure.
Illumina Connected Multiomics (ICM), the newest addition to the Illumina Connected Software portfolio is designed to streamline data integration, visualization, and interpretation. It empowers researchers to overcome challenges related to data complexity, scalability, and storage. Incorporating the user-friendly capabilities of Partek Flow into the Illumina Connected Software ecosystem, Connected Multiomics will enable researchers to run seamless multiomic workflows from library prep, to sequencing, with out-of-the box integration with high quality DRAGEN™ analysis, and the results can be easily interpreted in an intuitive biologist friendly environment. Features like interactive visualizations, pathway analysis, and differential expression plots allow scientists to interpret findings easily.
“ICM will enable integration of layers of omic data, providing a multidimensional view of cellular function not visible when studying individual omes in isolation, and allowing for simultaneous investigation of the data”
– Joachim Schmid, VP, Multiomic Data Solutions, Illumina
We built Illumina’s Connected Multiomics to ensure scalability and flexibility in multiomics research, providing one analysis platform for all your omics discoveries. Whether analyzing single-cell RNA, spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, or methylation data, our customers can get high quality insights at scale, helping them unravel complexities of biology, advancing research, drug discovery, and precision medicine. As multiomics research continues to advance, we will continue to invest in the multiomics portfolio, simplifying our customers workflows by integrating products like Correlation Engine, and be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge solutions incorporating AI, machine learning, and foundational models. We aim to further simplify data analysis, making multiomics more accessible to researchers worldwide.
